Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany confirmed with SITA during the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that he will meet his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico. "Our deputies will meet in late January, which will bring us closer to a meeting," said Mr. Gyurcsany. The Hungarian Prime Minister said that such meetings should be nothing extraordinary, especially between prime ministers of two neighboring countries. "This should be very natural," stressed Mr. Gyurcsany.
Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Jan Kubis said, in response to SITA, that the Slovak and Hungarian sides find the upcoming meeting "a pragmatic step toward a new beginning in mutual relations."
